Op deze pagina staan enkele voorbeelden van gedigitaliseerde tentoonstellingen. Het is de bedoeling dit in de nabije toekomst verder uit te breiden. 

Luc Selis - First Belgian PS Envelopes 1873

The purpose of this collection is to give a total overview of the development of the 1873 postal stationery envelope, including but not limited to, the complete genesis, all different types and issues, their usage and postal history (tariffs, services, destinations,…).

The collection was built over more
than 35 years and contains many rare & unique items of the first Belgian postal stationery envelope.

 

Luc Selis - Hand Drawn Satiric & Comic postcards 1884-1887

The purpose of this collection is to share the work, the spirit and wit of the work of an 19th century artist and newspaper illustrator, who made comic and satiric cartoons of all kinds of events. His whole work was unknown and remained hidden for over 130 years, until it was discovered in 2016 during the demolition of the house of his brother-in-law
in Kankakee, Illinois, USA. The cards are one by one unique, no copies or additional cards have ever been made. The visitor will guided through a period of just over 3 years and will certainly recognise many of the subjects being displayed, varying form theatre and musicals, to politics and crime.
